Sea bass meatballs with tomato
A quick dish to prepare together with the little ones: le sea bass meatballs with tomato they are easy and tasty, very soft and suitable for eating fish even to children.
Ingredients
- 4 sea bass fillets
- Bread crumbs
- Garlic
- Parsley
- Juice of half a lemon
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- Tomato puree
- Fresh basil
Procedure:
You can involve slightly older children in cleaning the fish. With tweezers, remove all the thorns from the sea bass. With a knife, however, the parent will have to remove the skin.
Cut the sea bass into small pieces, then blend in a blender with the garlic, parsley and lemon juice.
Transfer to a bowl and with the help of the children add the grated zest and breadcrumbs (4-5 tablespoons should suffice). Let the children handle the dough freely.
Heat the tomato puree with the basil, do not add salt because the fish will then flavor it.
Let it go to the minimum, in the meantime prepare the meatballs together with the children. I recommend making them small so there is no risk that they remain raw inside.
Dip the meatballs in the puree and cook with the lid on for about 20 min. Halfway through cooking, turn them.
You can serve the meatballs and their sauce on slices of toast, or on basmati rice.
