Although the World Health Organization (WHO) denied the correlation between vaccines and autism in April 2022, the prosecutor of Trani has recently opened a file against unknown persons for very serious injuries, to ascertain whether there is a link between administration of the non-mandatory trivalent vaccine Mpr (against measles, rubella and mumps), autism and diabetes. The prosecutor Michele Ruggiero also intends to carry out investigations at the pharmaceutical companies and to request information from the ministry.
The investigations have been delegated to the Nas carabinieri, who will also have to carry out a mapping of the cases of autism that have arisen in the last 5 years, after the administration of the trivalent vaccine.
The investigation was initiated after the complaint filed by the parents of two children diagnosed with 'post-vaccine onset autistic syndrome'.
Already in 2022 the Rimini court sentenced the health ministry to compensate a family in which the child would develop the disease after being vaccinated.
The link between vaccines and autism is widely touted on the net. But the experts strongly deny it.
WHO ensures that epidemiological data show no correlation between vaccines and autism or autism spectrum disorders.
Of the same opinion Stefania Salmaso, director of the epidemiology and surveillance center of the Higher Institute of Health: "There is no new scientific evidence other than that which revealed the groundlessness of the first reports".
In fact, a study published in 1998 by the English doctor Andrew Wakefield spread this fear. But subsequent investigations have shown that these studies were false, so much so that they deserved official withdrawal.
Pediatricians also speak of unmotivated fears: "There is no scientific proof " explains the president of the Del Paesena Society of Pediatrics (Sip) Giovanni Corsello.
"Studies have shown no link. Quite the contrary reducing vaccination coverage may entail the real risk that serious diseases that have almost disappeared may re-emerge. Vaccines represent an irreplaceable prevention tool.
The advice to parents is to continue vaccinating children with complete peace of mind. "

"However," Corsello says "fundamental is that the Ministry of Health also gives a clear message to the courts on the fact that this correlation is not proven".
